Finca San Jose sits in the municipality of Marcala, in Honduras’ southwest region, known to produce exceptional coffees. In 2005 the region was the first to bear its own POD (Protected Designation of Origin) in the country.

Coffee from Finca San Jose is wet processed on site in the farm’s artisanal mill; it is then dried on raised beds under solar dryers. The COEX Specialty team is in charge of the whole chain from cherry to green bean assuring quality along the way, an aspect that is quite rare in the Honduran coffee industry.
